Q: Why don't you do any bootcamps or in-person training?

Q: You guys give away SO much free information...why would I ever actually need to BUY anything?

A: The best answer to this was probably written by our CEO in an issue of our CharmingChatter Newsletter:

First of all, we're practicing what we preach. One of the key things you should take away from this Starter SeriesTM is that the most important thing you need to do to improve your ability to master social situations is provide value. If you're not willing to take the first step and offer value - without expecting something in return - other people will see you for the mooch that you are and stay away. A business relationship is no different. We at Social Charm understand that we need to first give value to you as a sign of our goodwill (and to prove to you we know what we're talking about), and that if you see value in what we're providing, your business will follow in due course.
 
Second, it actually does make business sense. Studies have consistently demonstrated that providing free information and gifts to people result in higher sales, a phenomenon know as reciprocity (which is really just a desire to return value to someone who has a lot of it - something you'll learn more about later.) It also makes business sense in a non-monetary way as well. Though making money is a necessary step in running a business, it's certainly not sufficient, at least not for us. There are plenty of other businesses that require less work for more pay, but we're in this business for a reason - because we are passionate about helping people grow.
 
Finally, what you've seen is only the beginning. You think what you've seen so far is good? You haven't see anything yet. Q: How do I know you guys know what you're talking about? What credibility do you have?
 
A: We purposefully don't put a lot of info about our team on here for a few reasons. First, it makes it more difficult for other companies to take our people. Second, if you've ever read the magazine The Economist, you'll notice that none of the articles have author names. This is great because it allows people speak honestly without worry about 'what people will think.' Third - and most importantly - it's because ultimately this isn't about us - it's about you. Pretty much everything on this site should be about how we can help you. We'll brag about our results, but not about ourselves.
 
If you simply must have some information, here's a brief summary. Two the three founders graduated from Princeton University, one with a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on neuoscience, the other with a degree from the prestigeous Woodrow Wilson school of public policy, and who did his thesis work with the first pyschologist ever to win the Nobel Prize. The third graduated from Carnegie Mellon, where he majored in business and economics. Our advisers include a CEO of a $300 million dollar publishing company, a PhD from MIT, and one of the orignal securities attorneys at Google.
